How Does neurofeedback help?

Neurofeedback Promotes Relaxation

Neurofeedback gives you real-time information about what your brainwaves are doing. To be able to get good readings, a person has to be still and relaxed. Even doing nothing else, being still, breathing, relaxing, and clearing your mind helps you reduce stress and allow for the healing process to begin.

Neurofeedback Gives You Information

The QEEG Brain Map is the place to start with Neurofeedback. The Brain Map tells us which parts of your brain need the most attention first so we can tailor a good treatment plan and get working right off the bat. As you begin training, the Neurofeedback equipment gives you real time information about what your brainwaves are doing, which gives you a chance to change things and make it all work more efficiently. Depending on the problems you're working on, it may take 20-40 sessions, and sometimes more.

Neurofeedback Helps You Rebalance Your Own Brain

Perhaps you have too many of the sleepy brainwaves when you are supposed to be studying (Delta, 2-4 Hz) or perhaps you have too much High Beta (20-30 Hz) when you would rather  not be panicking. Using this technology helps you learn how to get the right amount of the frequency you need at the time you need it. Our brains can work so much better and more efficiently this way!

Neurofeedback Can Help Improve Memory

It also helps improve sleep, decreases anxiety, helps support a balanced mood, improves focus and concentration, and helps you clear some mental space for things you want to focus on. It can help with learning disabilities and recovery from brain injury or stroke.

Neurofeedback Works Best if Your Brain Has What It Needs to Recover

This includes a healthy diet, exercise, good sleep, the absence of drugs or alcohol, and plenty of water. Vitamins and supplements can help too.  The QEEG Brain Map can also tell us what might be lacking in your diet so we know which supplements will get you on track the fastest.
